# Deployments Concepts { #deployments-concepts }

When deploying a **FastAPI** application, or actually, any type of web API, there are several concepts that you probably care about, and using them you can find the **most appropriate** way to **deploy your application**.

Some of the important concepts are:

* Security - HTTPS
* Running on startup
* Restarts
* Replication (the number of processes running)
* Memory
* Previous steps before starting

 *       equals} if at all possible. Otherwise, be aware that concepts used throughout this
 *       documentation such as "equal", "same", "unique" and so on actually refer to whether {@link
 *       Comparable#compareTo compareTo} returns zero, not whether {@link Object#equals equals}
 *       returns {@code true}.

In this case, the original path `/app` would actually be served at `/api/v1/app`.

Even though all your code is written assuming there's just `/app`.
