Events allow you to capture metrics on your application’s HTTP calls. Use events to monitor:

 * The size and frequency of the HTTP calls your application makes. If you’re making too many calls, or your calls are too large, you should know about it!
 * The performance of these calls on the underlying network. If the network’s performance isn’t sufficient, you need to either improve the network or use less of it.

As an example, let us take a gzip compressed CSV file. Without S3 Select, we would need to download, decompress and process the entire CSV to get the data you needed. With Select API, can use a simple SQL expression to return only the data from the CSV you’re interested in, instead of retrieving the entire object. Following Python example shows how to retrieve the first column `Location` from an object containing data in CSV format.

You just need to declare a **Pydantic model** with the fields you want to receive as **form fields**, and then declare the parameter as `Form`:

**FastAPI** will **extract** the data for **each field** from the **form data** in the request and give you the Pydantic model you defined.
