``` ## Adding Microbenchmarks Before adding a new microbenchmark, make yourself familiar with the JMH API. You can check our existing microbenchmarks and also the [JMH samples](http://hg.openjdk.java.net/code-tools/jmh/file/tip/jmh-samples/src/main/java/org/openjdk/jmh/samples/). #### Non-calculated values These are inappropriate uses of lazy types: ```groovy class Example { Property<String> getSomeProperty() Example() { getSomeProperty().set("value") getSomeProperty().disallowChanges() } } class Example2 { Provider<String> getSomeProperty() { return project.provider(() -> "value") } } ```Created: Wed Apr 01 11:36:16 GMT 2026 - Last Modified: Thu Mar 05 12:39:41 GMT 2026 - 10K bytes - Click Count (0) -
architecture/standards/0004-use-a-platform-architecture.md
A Gradle platform is a logical distribution that provides support for a specific kind of automation. A typical platform builds on other platforms in order to add more capabilities, for example, to add support for a particular language. ### EventListener.Factory In the preceding example we used a field, `callStartNanos`, to track the elapsed time of each event. This is handy, but it won’t work if multiple calls are executing concurrently. To accommodate this, use a `Factory` to create a new `EventListener` instance for each `Call`. This allows each listener to keep call-specific state.
