architecture/ambient/ztunnel-cni-lifecycle.md
### Pod Shutdown Implementation [ZDS](../../pkg/zdsapi/zds.proto) exposes a `DelWorkload` message to signal to Ztunnel that a pod has been terminated. This can be triggered either by a Pod being actually deleted, or has transitioned to a [terminal phase](https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/workloads/pods/pod-lifecycle/). At this point, the pod and all containers have fully shut down, and we can tear everything down.

architecture/networking/pilot.md
However, all other types *cannot* be deleted explicitly, and instead are cleaned up when all references are removed. This means we can send partial updates for non-root types, without deleting unsent resources. This effectively allows doing delta updates over SotW. This optimization is critical...

android/guava/src/com/google/common/collect/CompactHashSet.java
* collections intelligently fall back to a binary search tree if hash table collisions are * detected. Rather than going to all the trouble of reimplementing this ourselves, we * simply switch over to use the JDK implementation wholesale if probable hash flooding is * detected, sacrificing the compactness guarantee in very rare cases in exchange for much * more reliable worst-case behavior.
