### Функции-обработчики пути { #path-operation-functions }

Когда вы объявляете *функцию-обработчик пути* обычным `def` вместо `async def`, она запускается во внешнем пуле потоков, который затем «ожидается», вместо прямого вызова (прямой вызов заблокировал бы сервер).
