containers are only an alpha feature. To allow using CSI storage on Windows nodes, [CSIProxy](https://github.com/kubernetes-csi/csi-proxy) enables CSI node plugins to be deployed as unprivileged pods, using the proxy to perform privileged storage operations on the node.
