# Middleware

There are several middlewares available provided by Starlette directly.

::: fastapi.middleware.cors.CORSMiddleware

It can be imported from `fastapi`:

::: fastapi.middleware.gzip.GZipMiddleware

It can be imported from `fastapi`:

 * provided {@code standardAddAll} method.
 *
 * <p><b>{@code default} method warning:</b> This class does <i>not</i> forward calls to {@code
 * default} methods. Instead, it inherits their default implementations. When those implementations
 * invoke methods, they invoke methods on the {@code ForwardingSet}.
 *
 * <p>The {@code standard} methods are not guaranteed to be thread-safe, even when all of the
 * methods that they depend on are thread-safe.

    by the users IAM policy.

    This is due to an issue of prefix based Matcher() function
    which was incorrectly matching prefix based on resource
    prefixes instead of exact match.

- There is always a possibility of a fix that is new, it is advised that the developer must make sure that the fix is sent upstream, reviewed and merged to the master branch.
