We'd like to capture our architectural decisions about the build tool as [Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)](https://adr.github.io/).
For now we just have this global repository of ADRs.
If we see fit, we can break these out to per-platform ones, or keep a hybrid approach to having global and platform-specific ADSs.

Our aim is to keep the process lightweight and approachable.

We highly recommend you keep OkHttp up-to-date. As with auto-updating web browsers, staying current
with HTTPS clients is an important defense against potential security problems. [We
track][tls_history] the dynamic TLS ecosystem and adjust OkHttp to improve connectivity and
security.

This output shows that a document has been created for the event in Elasticsearch.

Here we see that the document ID is the bucket and object name. In case `access` format was used, the document ID would be automatically generated by Elasticsearch.

## Publish MinIO events via Redis

Install [Redis](http://redis.io/download) server. For illustrative purposes, we have set the database password as "yoursecret".

With a server that holds a certificate and a client that trusts it we have enough for an HTTPS
handshake. The best part of this example is that we don't need to make our test code insecure with a
a fake `HostnameVerifier` or `X509TrustManager`.

- This field is mandatory for standalone and erasure code MinIO server deployments, to enable federated mode.
- This field is optional for distributed deployments. If you don't set this field in a federated setup, we use the IP addresses of
hosts passed to the MinIO server startup and use them for DNS entries.

1. Check k8s pod namespace against exclusion list (plugin config)
    - Config must exclude namespace that Istio control-plane is installed in (TODO: this may change, exclude at pod level is sufficient and we may want Istiod and other istio components to use ambient too)
    - If excluded, ignore the pod and return prevResult
1. Setup redirect rules for the pods:
    - Get the port list from pods definition, as well as annotations.

## Issue management

We use GitHub to track all of our bugs and feature requests. Each issue we track has a variety of metadata:

- **Epic**. An epic represents a feature area for Istio as a whole. Epics are fairly broad in scope and are basically product-level things.
