> NOTE: if *path_prefix* is set then MinIO will not federate your buckets, namespaced IAM assets are assumed as isolated tenants, only buckets are considered globally unique but performing a lookup with a *bucket* which belongs to a different tenant will fail unlike federated setups where MinIO would port-forward and route the request to relevant cluster accordingly. This is a special feature, federated deployments should not need to set *path_prefix*....

    - periodically copy the K8S JWT token for istio-cni on the host to connect to K8S.
    - injects the CNI plugin config to the CNI config file

### Relationship between the CLI and controller

The CLI and controller share the same API and codebase for generating manifests from the API. You can think of the
controller as the CLI command `istioctl install` running in a loop in a pod in the cluster and using the config
from the in-cluster IstioOperator custom resource (CR).
