#### Legacy Gateway Helm charts

Istio historically offered two different charts - `manifests/charts/gateways/istio-ingress` and `manifests/charts/gateways/istio-egress`.
These are replaced by this chart.

for Istio core and addon components.

[Helm installation API](https://github.com/istio/istio/blob/master/operator/pkg/apis/istio/v1alpha1/values_types.proto) for backwards
compatibility.

Some parameters will temporarily exist both the component configuration and legacy Helm APIs - for example, K8s

- Creation and deletion of service accounts (except those owned by the root user)
- Changes to Bucket features such as:
  - Bucket Policies
  - Bucket Tags
  - Bucket Object-Lock configurations (including retention and legal hold configuration)
  - Bucket Encryption configuration

> NOTE: Bucket versioning is automatically enabled for all new and existing buckets on all replicated sites.
