Cgo translates C types into equivalent unexported Go types. Because the translations are unexported, a Go package should not expose C types in its exported API: a C type used in one Go package is different from the same C type used in another. Any C function (even void functions) may be called in a multiple assignment context to retrieve both the return value (if any) and the

// the type: // // Slice: The size specifies the length. The capacity of the slice is // equal to its length. A second integer argument may be provided to // specify a different capacity; it must be no smaller than the // length. For example, make([]int, 0, 10) allocates an underlying array // of size 10 and returns a slice of length 0 and capacity 10 that is // backed by this underlying array.

src/README.vendor
"vendor/golang.org/x/crypto/cryptobyte". When a package with the same path is imported from a package outside std or cmd, it will be resolved normally. Consequently, a binary may be built with two copies of a package at different versions if the package is imported normally and vendored by the standard library. Vendored packages are internally renamed with a "vendor/" prefix to preserve the invariant that all packages have distinct paths.
