# Response Headers

## Use a `Response` parameter

You can declare a parameter of type `Response` in your *path operation function* (as you can do for cookies).

And then you can set headers in that *temporal* response object.

And then you can return any object you need, as you normally would (a `dict`, a database model, etc).

But you can return a `JSONResponse` directly from your *path operations*.

It might be useful, for example, to return custom headers or cookies.

## Return a `Response`

In fact, you can return any `Response` or any sub-class of it.

!!! tip
    `JSONResponse` itself is a sub-class of `Response`.

And when you return a `Response`, **FastAPI** will pass it directly.

Here is the reference for it and its parameters.

You can import it directly from `fastapi`:

## `Security()`

For many scenarios, you can handle security (authorization, authentication, etc.) with dependencies, using `Depends()`.

But when you want to also declare OAuth2 scopes, you can use `Security()` instead of `Depends()`.

and style in order to keep the code as readable as possible. Please also make
sure your code compiles by running `./gradlew check`. Checkstyle failures

You can use the Select API to query objects with following features:

- Objects must be in CSV, JSON, or Parquet(*) format.
- UTF-8 is the only encoding type the Select API supports.

The `TestClient` is based on <a href="https://www.python-httpx.org" class="external-link" target="_blank">HTTPX</a>, and luckily, we can use it directly to test the API.

## Example

functionality. Syntax is `mc support inspect ALIAS/path/to/files`. This can for example be used to collect `xl.meta` from objects that are misbehaving. To collect `xl.meta` from a specific object, for example placed at `ALIAS/bucket/path/to/file.txt` append `/xl.meta`, for instance `mc support inspect ALIAS/bucket/path/to/file.txt/xl.meta`. All files can be collected, so this can also be used to retrieve `part.*` files, etc.

Wildcards can be used, for example `mc support inspect ALIAS/bucket/path/**/xl.meta`...

## Develop and verify

After you make a change, you can run `mvn clean teamcity-configs:generate` to generate and verify the generated TeamCity configuration XMLs.

You also need to run `mvn clean verify` with Java 8 before committing changes.

If you have ktlint errors, you can automatically fix them by running `mvn com.github.gantsign.maven:ktlint-maven-plugin:1.1.1:format`.
