# Istio CNI Node Agent

The Istio CNI Node Agent is responsible for several things

- Install an Istio CNI plugin binary on each node's filesystem, updating that node's CNI config in e.g (`/etc/cni/net.d`), and watching the config and binary paths to reinstall if things are modified.

### Download and Install

#### Binary Distributions

Official binary distributions are available at https://go.dev/dl/.

After downloading a binary release, visit https://go.dev/doc/install
for installation instructions.

#### Install From Source

If a binary distribution is not available for your combination of
operating system and architecture, visit

Prometheus server is a single binary called `prometheus` (or `prometheus.exe` on Microsoft Windows). Run the binary and pass `--help` flag to see available options

- For deployments that installed the MinIO server binary by hand, use [`mc admin update`](https://min.io/docs/minio/linux/reference/minio-mc-admin/mc-admin-update.html)

    the [Guava Beta Checker] to ensure that you do not use any `@Beta` APIs!**

2.  APIs without `@Beta` will remain binary-compatible for the indefinite
    future. (Previously, we sometimes removed such APIs after a deprecation
    period. The last release to remove non-`@Beta` APIs was Guava 21.0.) Even

by a different role than the prod version.

The intended users of this repo are users running Istio in production who want to select, tune
and understand each binary that gets deployed, and select which combination to use.

Note: each component can be installed in parallel with an existing Istio 1.0 or 1.1 installation in

Ensure the created binary is in your PATH to run the examples below.

### Controller (in cluster)

Building a custom controller requires a Dockerhub (or similar) account. To build using the container based build:

### 2. Run MinIO Server with Erasure Code

Example: Start MinIO server in a 12 drives setup, using MinIO binary.
