# Events testen: Hochfahren – Herunterfahren

Wenn Sie in Ihren Tests Ihre Event-Handler (`startup` und `shutdown`) ausführen wollen, können Sie den `TestClient` mit einer `with`-Anweisung verwenden:

## EventListener events 

Cache Events are exposed via the EventListener API.  Typical scenarios are below.

### Cache Hit

In the ideal scenario the cache can fulfill the request without any conditional call to the network.
This will skip the normal events such as DNS, connecting to the network, and downloading the response body.

    Note that we're using async/await with the new `AsyncClient` - the request is asynchronous.

!!! warning
    If your application relies on lifespan events, the `AsyncClient` won't trigger these events. To ensure they are triggered, use `LifespanManager` from <a href="https://github.com/florimondmanca/asgi-lifespan#usage" class="external-link" target="_blank">florimondmanca/asgi-lifespan</a>.

Essas funções podem ser declaradas com `async def` ou `def` normal.

### Evento `startup`

Para adicionar uma função que deve rodar antes da aplicação iniciar, declare-a com o evento `"startup"`:

Nesse caso, a função de manipulação de evento `startup` irá inicializar os itens do "banco de dados" (só um `dict`) com alguns valores.
