message NetworkPolicyPeer { // podSelector is a label selector which selects pods. This field follows standard label // selector semantics; if present but empty, it selects all pods. // // If namespaceSelector is also set, then the NetworkPolicyPeer as a whole selects // the pods matching podSelector in the Namespaces selected by NamespaceSelector. // Otherwise it selects the pods matching podSelector in the policy's own namespace.

manifests/charts/gateways/istio-ingress/templates/zzz_profile.yaml
Complex logic ahead... We have three sets of values, in order of precedence (last wins): 1. The builtin values.yaml defaults 2. The profile the user selects 3. Users input (-f or --set) Unfortunately, Helm provides us (1) and (3) together (as .Values), making it hard to insert (2). However, we can workaround this by placing all of (1) under a specific key (.Values.defaults).

2. It attempts to retrieve a connection with that address from the **connection pool**. 3. If it doesn't find a connection in the pool, it selects a **route** to attempt. This usually means making a DNS request to get the server's IP addresses. It then selects a TLS version and proxy server if necessary.
