That is, executing </p> <pre> make([]T, length, capacity) </pre> <p> produces the same slice as allocating an array and <a href="#Slice_expressions">slicing</a> it, so these two expressions are equivalent: </p> <pre> make([]int, 50, 100) new([100]int)[0:50] </pre>
