### New unique package

The new [unique](/pkg/unique) package provides facilites for
canonicalizing values (like "interning" or "hash-consing").

Any value of comparable type may be canonicalized with the new
`Make[T]` function, which produces a reference to a canonical copy of
the value in the form of a `Handle[T]`.
Two `Handle[T]` are equal if and only if the values used to produce the
handles are equal, allowing programs to deduplicate values and reduce

shipped. Each file adds new lines but does not remove any.

except.txt lists features that may disappear without breaking true
compatibility.

Starting with go1.19.txt, each API feature line must end in "#nnnnn"
giving the GitHub issue number of the proposal issue that accepted
the new API. This helps with our end-of-cycle audit of new APIs.

## Decision

Introduce a "UI" architecture module to the core platform, and move the user interaction services to this new module.

- Logging and progress services.
- Problem generation services (aka the "problems API").
- User prompting services.

# Release Notes

The `initial` and `next` subdirectories of this directory are for release notes.

## For developers

Release notes should be added to `next` by editing existing files or creating new files.

At the end of the development cycle, the files will be merged by being
concatenated in sorted order by pathname. Files in the directory matching the
glob "*stdlib/*minor" are treated specially. They should be in subdirectories

* Simple object filtering. Beyond just static filters on objects, `kclient` supports _dynamic filters_ that can change at runtime.
  When a filter changes and includes/removes new objects, those are automatically handled.
* Proper syncing and shutdown logic. Checking for when an informer has fully started can be quite tricky; `kclient` automatically handles it.
