**This release introduces new Kotlin-friendly APIs.** When we migrated OkHttp from Java to Kotlin in
OkHttp 4.0, we kept our Java-first APIs. With 5.0 we're continuing to support Java and adding

        compatible, but if you require that default attributes to be saved with
        the model, please use `tf.compat.v1.Estimator`.
    *   Feature Columns have been upgraded to be more Eager-friendly and to work
        with Keras. As a result, `tf.feature_column.input_layer` has been
        deprecated in favor of `tf.keras.layers.DenseFeatures`. v1 feature
        columns have direct analogues in v2 except for

ecuritypolicy-deprecation-past-present-and-future/), and with the release of v1.25, it has been removed. The updates required to improve its usability would have introduced breaking changes, so it became necessary to remove it in favor of a more friendly replacement. That replacement is [Pod Security Admission](/docs/concepts/security/pod-security-admission/), which graduates to Stable with this release.     - **Galley** - Responsible for validating, ingesting, aggregating, transforming and distributing config within Istio.

- **Operator** - The component provides user friendly options to operate the Istio service mesh.

## Repositories

The Istio project is divided across a few GitHub repositories:

- [istio/api](https://github.com/istio/api). This repository defines

compatible with the older charts in [istio/istio](https://github.com/istio/istio/tree/1.4.7/install/kubernetes/helm).
See `istio/manifests/charts` for details about the new charts and why they were created. Briefly, the new charts
are intended to support production ready deployments of Istio that follow best practices like canarying for upgrade.
