# Istio Ztunnel Helm Chart

This chart installs an Istio ztunnel.

## Setup Repo Info

```console
helm repo add istio https://istio-release.storage.googleapis.com/charts
helm repo update
```

## Installing the Chart

To install the chart:

```console
helm install ztunnel istio/ztunnel
```

## Uninstalling the Chart

For example, consider a MinIO deployment behind a proxy `https://minio.example.net`, `https://console.minio.example.net` with rules for forwarding traffic on port :9000 and :9001 to MinIO and the MinIO Console respectively on the internal network. Set `MINIO_BROWSER_REDIRECT_URL` to `https://console.minio.example.net` to ensure the browser receives a valid reachable URL.

Each GKE cluster's will have many categories of logs collected by Stackdriver.  Logs can be monitored via

We used [kafkacat](https://github.com/edenhill/kafkacat) to print all notifications on the console.

Open another terminal and upload a JPEG image into `images` bucket.

```
mc cp myphoto.jpg myminio/images
```

`kafkacat` prints the event notification to the console.

These credentials can now be used to perform MinIO API operations.

### Using MinIO Console

- Open MinIO URL on the browser, lets say <http://localhost:9000/>
- Click on `Login with SSO`

### Quick tour of CLI commands

#### Flags

The `istioctl` command supports the following flags:

- `dry-run`: console output only, nothing applied to cluster or written to files.
- `verbose`: display entire manifest contents and other debug info (default is false).
- `set`: select profile or override profile defaults

This chart installs an Istio gateway deployment.

## Installing the Chart

To install the chart with the release name `istio-ingressgateway`:

helm install istiod istio/istiod --namespace istio-system
```

## Uninstalling the Chart

To uninstall/delete the `istiod` deployment:

```console
helm delete istiod --namespace istio-system
```

## Configuration

To view support configuration options and documentation, run:

helm show values istio/istiod
```
