The following arguments are supported: * `allowed_hosts` - A list of domain names that should be allowed as hostnames. Wildcard domains such as `*.example.com` are supported for matching subdomains. To allow any hostname either use `allowed_hosts=["*"]` or omit the middleware.

organization-specific certificate authority. By default `HeldCertificate` instances expire after 24 hours. Use `duration()` to adjust. By default server certificates need to identify which hostnames they're trusted for. You may add as many as necessary with `addSubjectAlternativeName()`. This mechanism also supports a very limited form of wildcards `*.example.com` where the `*` must be first and doesn't match nested subdomains.

attacks, this setting and default was backported to Go 1.25.6 and Go 1.24.12. Go 1.26 added a new `urlstrictcolons` setting that controls whether `net/url.Parse` allows malformed hostnames containing colons outside of a bracketed IPv6 address. The default `urlstrictcolons=1` rejects URLs such as `http://localhost:1:2` or `http://::1/`. Colons are permitted as part of a bracketed IPv6 address, such as `http://[::1]/`.
