This setting is available in Go 1.21.12, Go 1.22.5, Go 1.23, and later.
There is no plan to remove this setting.

### Go 1.18

Go 1.18 removed support for SHA1 in most X.509 certificates,
controlled by the [`x509sha1` setting](/pkg/crypto/x509#InsecureAlgorithmError).
This setting was removed in Go 1.24.
