Notice that the input model is still validated.

So, if you want to receive partial updates that can omit all the attributes, you need to have a model with all the attributes marked as optional (with default values or `None`).

To distinguish from the models with all optional values for **updates** and models with required values for **creation**, you can use the ideas described in [Extra Models](extra-models.md){.internal-link target=_blank}.

Note: there are still some cluster roles that may need to be fixed, most likely cluster permissions
will need to move to the security component.

## Everything is Optional

Each component in the new installer is optional. Users can install the component defined in the new installer,
use the equivalent component in `istio-system`, configured with the official installer, or use a different
version or implementation.

resolving and retrieving the dependencies which would then be used to populate a ClassRealm where there would be a connection to the host applications ClassRealm as the parent but the search order would be child first, and the parent ClassRealm can optionally choose to limit the searching to particular classes. The application ClassRealm, or parent ClassRealm, should only expose the API in the form of and application interface and model classes that may be required by plugins.
