# History, Design and Future { #history-design-and-future }

Some time ago, <a href="https://github.com/fastapi/fastapi/issues/3#issuecomment-454956920" class="external-link" target="_blank">a **FastAPI** user asked</a>:

Here's a little bit of that history.
