### Storage Class

By default, parity for objects with standard storage class is set to `N/2`, and parity for objects with reduced redundancy storage class objects is set to `2`. ## Introduction

MinIO supports the standard AssumeRoleWithWebIdentity STS API to enable integration with OIDC/OpenID based identity provider environments. This allows the generation of temporary credentials with pre-defined access policies for applications/users to interact with MinIO object storage.

### Allowed values for STANDARD storage class

`STANDARD` storage class implies more parity than `REDUCED_REDUNDANCY` class. So, `STANDARD` parity drives should be

- Greater than or equal to 2, if `REDUCED_REDUNDANCY` parity is not set.
- Greater than `REDUCED_REDUNDANCY` parity, if it is set.
