The build session state is managed by the `BuildSessionState` class.
An instance is created at the start of a Gradle invocation and discarded at the end of that invocation.

The build session state also includes "cross session" state that is shared with any "nested" sessions that need to be created.

## Documenting the callback

- In ambient mode, the CNI plugin does not configure any networking, but is only responsible for synchronously pushing new pod events back up to an ambient watch server which runs as part of the Istio CNI node agent. By default, it will have **auto-reload** enabled, so it will automatically reload the server when you make changes to your code. This is resource intensive and could be less stable than without it, you should only use it for development.
