To mitigate the security risks and avoid integrating compromised dependencies in your project, Gradle supports _dependency verification_. -- Dependency verification is, by nature, an inconvenient feature to use. It means that whenever you're going to update a dependency, builds are likely to fail. It means that merging branches are going to be harder because each branch can have different dependencies.
