With Kubernetes v1.12, SIG Storage also introduced alpha support for [volume snapshotting](https://github.com/kubernetes/enhancements/issues/177). This feature introduces the ability to create/delete volume snapshots and create new volumes from a snapshot using the Kubernetes API.

- `kubectl run` has removed the previously deprecated generators, along with flags unrelated to creating pods. `kubectl run` now only creates pods. See specific `kubectl create` subcommands to create objects other than pods.

*   The canonical pronunciation of kubectl is "cube control".

 - The default Bootstrap Token created with `kubeadm init` v1.8 expires
 and is deleted after 24 hours by default to limit the exposure of the
 valuable credential. You can create a new Bootstrap Token with
 `kubeadm token create` or make the default token permanently valid by specifying
 `--token-ttl 0` to `kubeadm init`. The default token can later be deleted with
 `kubeadm token delete`.

patching themselves with an OwnerReference to a cluster-scoped resource. If the OwnerReference resource does not exist or is subsequently deleted, the given node object will be deleted via garbage collection. By default, node users are authorized for create and patch requests but not delete requests against their node object. Since the NodeRestriction admission controller does not prevent patching OwnerReferences, a compromised node could leverage this vulnerability to delete and then recreate its node...

role and role binding from the rbac boostrapper and replaces it with a policy applied via addon mgr. This also creates a new clusterrole allowing the service account to create events for any namespace.
