- `PodSpec.Container.Resources` became mutable for CPU and memory resource types.
  - `PodSpec.Container.ResizePolicy` (new object) gives users control over how their containers are resized.
  - `PodStatus.Resize` status describes the state of a requested Pod resize.
  - `PodStatus.ResourcesAllocated` describes node resources allocated to Pod.
  - `PodStatus.Resources` describes node resources applied to running containers by CRI.

- The deprecated flag `--lock-object-namespace` and `--lock-object-name` have been removed from kube-scheduler. Please use `--leader-elect-resource-namespace` and `--leader-elect-resource-name` or ComponentConfig instead to configure those parameters. - Log messages and metrics for the watch cache are now keyed by `<resource>.<group>` instead of `go` struct type. This means e.g. that `*v1.Pod` becomes `pods`. Additionally, resources that come from `CustomResourceDefinitions` are displayed as the correct resource and group, instead of `*unstructured.Unstructured`. Additionally, a background task is normally an independent set of logic that should be handled separately, with its own resources (e.g. its own database connection).
